Schedule:
Arrive Saturday: 2pm: orientation of Lyme Regis and shops
Sunday: 11am-3pm: Painting or sketching on the Cobb,
famous for local resident and author John Fowles' "French Lieutenant's Woman".
Lovely views of Golden Cap, cliffs and sea views. Shapes in the landscape will
be addressed.
Monday: Structure and form in the landscape, Abbotsbury
Subtropical Gardens. Lunch in the tea rooms. Afternoon at the Swannery.
Tuesday: Morning painting and sketching on Egardon Hill.
Far-reaching country views near to ancient Powerstock Forest. Afternoon: lunch
at 17th Century Mangerton Mill, cream tea later.
Wednesday: Morning sketching or painting around
Bridport. A chance to "do your own thing", casually sketching and visiting the
street market and shops. Light lunch at the Art Centre. Afternoon at West Bay,
painting the harbour and boats, with an emphasis on composition, light and
reflections on the water.
Thursday: Morning: Painting the distinctive red cliffs
on Devon's coast at Seaton. There will be a break for a lunch in a restaurant,
and explore the town. Afternoon: Branscombe, a typical east Devon village,
emphasis on buildings and perspective in the landscape. Village pub and tea
rooms.
Friday: A day of free painting followed by a barbeque on
Monmouth Beach. We will wander around Lyme Regis, sketching and painting at
different locations so you can go home with a picture diary of the town.
Accommodation:
Self catering cottages are available for up to 6, fees based on two sharing.
Dates: Holidays run for one week twice a month (April to September) with short breaks or single days in October / November.
Short breaks and one-on-one holidays can be adapted to suit individual needs, and the painting venue dates are subject to change according to opening times throughout the year.

The prices quoted include accommodation, transport, tuition and entrance fees. Accommodation may consist of a Self-catering Cottage, a Cottage with Bed and Breakfast, and / or self-catering, or Bed and Breakfast at a Guest House in Lyme Regis. All are very comfortable and friendly venues, and it will depend upon the number of participants of a specific holiday/short break, and availability.
