Ann grew up in rural Kent where she loved
to study nature and wrote and illustrated
stories about animals.
She spent 20 years in New England, USA
where she worked in the Museum of Natural
History at Harvard University. At the
Art Institute of Boston she specialized in
Nature Illustration. She worked at the
Massachusetts Audubon Conservation Society,
Drumlin Farm, where she cared for rescued
wild animals and created and illustrated
childrens' educational projects.
Upon returning to the UK, Ann worked as
Illustrator to the Dorset Wildlife Trust and
illustrated for various publications. She ran
the Art Group at the Mental Health Centre
in Bridport, Dorset, taught Art at St. Clare's
Adult Education Centre, Devon, and the
WI art group near Axminster, Devon. She
also tutors Painting Courses at Highway
Farm, Dorset, runs her own art groups in the
Dorset/Devon area and has tutored many
one-to-one adult students.
Ann also has a home in rural Spain, near
Antequera, and tutors Watercolour Painting
Courses at the Hotel Rural Carlos Astorga
Activity Centre, near Salinas, Andalucia. She
has plans to expand upon this with a view to
running Art Courses in Villanueva del Rosario. |
